
Phobias
A phobia is an intense anxiety about something very specific that appears irrational and out of all proportion to the situation or thing that is triggering it. They are triggered when there is no real danger and so serve no genuinely useful purpose for you.
Why?
When you are in a heightened state of ‘negative’ emotion the subconscious mind with its role to protect you wants to identify what has caused you to feel this way and keep you on high alert from it in the future. The problem is that with most phobias the subconscious mind blames the wrong thing. (For example -claustrophobia -a fear of confined spaces -the space didn’t do anything bad to you-it is just a space- it was what happened to you in that space that was to blame). This is why you can be phobic towards almost anything -the list is endless.
How to get over a phobia:
The moment the subconscious mind learns and accepts that the wrong thing got the blame (with respect to phobias)- this is the moment you can truly and permanently let go of a phobia …because the moment you challenge a belief is the moment it begins to lose its power and you begin to move on.

How Many Sessions will it take?
How many sessions you will need will depend on the nature, complexity and what is driving the issue.
Issues such as smoking and simple phobias usually take one session to resolve.
